Elements of GBF Goal D covered: Dominica’s national targets address the main elements of GBF Goal D through a costed biodiversity finance plan, mobilization of public, donor and private resources, PES, ecotourism, green bonds, biodiversity-linked fees/taxes, blended finance, transparent tracking, reform of harmful incentives and subsidies, strengthened national and local capacity, regional and international technical cooperation, joint scientific research, biodiversity information systems, inclusive governance, and gender-responsive budgeting and benefit monitoring.
International public funding for biodiversity in Dominica can be reported for the 7NR reporting period using annual OECD DAC Creditor Reporting System (CRS) data, including ODA and other official flows marked with the biodiversity Rio marker, complemented by Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD) data and fund-specific records from the GEF, GCF, Adaptation Fund, and other multilateral sources. CRS/TOSSD data should be cross-checked against official fund databases and national records, because project-level funding from GEF, GCF, Adaptation Fund, GEF-SGP, and the Dominica National Conservation Trust Fund / Caribbean Biodiversity Fund may not be fully or consistently captured in OECD datasets. The suggested reference period is 2020 to the latest year available.
