The target content, its means of implementation, and defined actions cover all elements of Global Target 4, specifically:

• Ensure urgent management and conservation through in-situ and ex-situ conservation;
• Halt species extinction;
• Facilitate threatened species recovery;
• Maintain and restore genetic diversity within and between populations of native, wild species and domestic species.

The national target does not mention the management of human-wildlife interactions to minimize human-wildlife conflicts for coexistence. However, Vietnam has implemented many activities to reduce human-wildlife conficts with key species such as elephant, monkeys, langur…
