CHM - ORTBy 2040, interoperability of biodiversity information systems, improved, supported, secured, and accessible to the public
Actions which will be taken to achieve the national target:
Develop capacity-building programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of DENR staff and relevant stakeholders in data management, information systems, communication, education, public awareness, and indigenous knowledge systems (Target 20).
Allocate sufficient financial and human resources to support the development, maintenance, and updating of information systems, as well as the implementation of communication, education, and public awareness initiatives related to biodiversity conservation (Target 19).
Strengthen partnerships and collaborations within government agencies, academic institutions, civil society organizations, indigenous peoples' groups, and international partners to leverage expertise, resources, and knowledge for improving biodiversity information accessibility and management (NGAs, Academe, CSOs, IP, development partners).
Develop and strengthen policies and legislation that promote the accessibility of biodiversity information.
