The national targets address GBF Target 11 by restoring and enhancing nature’s contributions to people through ecosystem restoration, pollution reduction, and ecosystem-based adaptation. Forest and agro-landscape restoration strengthens provisioning and regulating services, while improved waste and effluent management protects water quality and human health. Ecosystem-based adaptation measures further enhance climate resilience and reduce vulnerability of communities dependent on ecosystem services.
