The national targets contribute to GBF Target 22 by involving local communities in the conservation and promotion of priority crop/seed varieties and livestock breeds through community seed banks, and by managing protected areas and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs), which supports participation and recognition of local stakeholders in biodiversity governance.
