In Ethiopia, the main causes of habitat degradation are attributed to direct and indirect anthropogenic factors, resulting in the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services. Therefore, it is imperative to take concerted efforts by all stakeholders with the active participation of local communities to restore the functioning of the ecosystems, with special emphasis on degraded forest lands, grazing lands and wetlands.
