12. Sustainable Use of Wild Species
ENThe harvesting, use and trade of wild species are managed sustainably, ensuring that overexploitation is prevented, ecosystem impacts are minimised and all activities comply with legal frameworks and conservation policies.
ACTION 12.1: Public awareness and outreach campaigns to the general public on the impacts of poaching, unsustainable harvesting and use of wild species.
ACTION 12.2: Strengthen collaborative efforts among regulating agencies with relevant stakeholders such as retailers, pet shops, florists and garden centres, traditional medicinal pharmacies and practitioners, among others.
ACTION 12.3: Strengthen policies and legislations on the sustainable management, conservation and protection of wild species that include relevant guidelines for harvesting and utilisation of wild species.
