Ensure that, by 2030, at least 10% of degraded terrestrial, inland water, coastal and marine ecosystems in Sudan that provide essential services, including services related to water, and contribute to health, livelihoods, wellbeing and climate, are restored and safeguarded, taking into account the needs of women, indigenous and local communities, and the poor and vulnerable.

This target focus on reduce focus on inland water, coastal and marine and terrestrial  ecosystems , essential  services , health, well being and climate to be restored with consideration  of IPLC, women and vulnerable people  

• Expedite restoration and safeguarding of biodiversity resources services and products of food, fodder, good health, reducing pandemics and disease risks, in different ecosystems,
• Enhance interventions for restoring and safeguarding degraded forests, carol reefs, stock routes and associated animal drinking water infrastructures, health care and animal feed supplies,
• Consolidate consultancy services and advise on restoring and safeguarding ecosystems for sustainable use and benefit sharing of biodiversity resources, 
• Enhance equitable access of vulnerable groups, notably women, local communities and the poor to biodiversity resources,    

All people from all sectors are involved, health will be impacted by degraded ecosystems, when you restore ecosystem means that its  value is considered,  

The  elements coverd by this target include;

• Restoration
• Degraded terrestrial, inland water, coastal and marine ecosystems
• Ecosystem functions and services

• capacity building, 
• financial resources ,
•  technology transfer, 
• Compile specific losses of each type of biodiversity resources in various ecosystems into one restoration and safeguarding master plan, 
• Use pastures reseeding and control of alien invasive grasses, 
• Supply livestock routes with water and animal health care services, 
• Diagnostic studies on causes and solutions for degraded biodiversity resources, including coral reefs, mangroves forest and sea grasses,
• Employ consultancy services for restoration and safeguarding of degraded biodiversity resources in all ecosystems

Barriers to implementation:

• Inadequate funds for conducting biodiversity related activities,
• Lack of institutions on maintaining biodiversity services for water and health and climate resilience support, 
• Inadequate skills related to women and vulnerable groups ,
• Lack of adequate data base and information on related parameters and issues, 
• Inadequate training of incorporating women needs into safe restoration of degraded ecosystems,
