La biodiversité marine est de plus en plus importante au niveau du Bénin à cause de sa localisation côtière. Les espèces animales et végétales doivent être conservées et méritent une attention particulière

Les mesures envisagées d'ici 2030 sont les suivantes: le renforcement du cadre juridique et institutionnel autour des zones marines et insulaires et la création et la gestion de façon durable des Aires Marines Protégées.
