Elements of GBF Target 17 covered: Dominica’s National Target 17 addresses the establishment and strengthening of biosafety governance and capacity, including risk assessment, regulation, public awareness and monitoring of biotechnology and LMOs. It therefore substantially covers the biosafety component of GBF Target 17 and partly addresses implementation of measures to regulate and control risks associated with biotechnology.
