The Kyrgyz Republic has developed the State Program for the Conservation of Biodiversity until 2040 and is currently in the process of its legalization. The Program, as the NBSAP of Kyrgyzstan, contributes to the implementation of the goals set out in the Global Framework Program on Biodiversity (GFP) and the implementation of the Convention on Migratory Species (Bonn Convention), the Ramsar Convention and the CITES Convention, as well as regional strategic documents within the Central Asian region. To implement the State Program, a Plan has been developed until 2030. The Program and Action Plan include 34 tasks aimed at creating a sustainable ecosystem infrastructure for the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of biodiversity. A total of 57 specific targets to be achieved by 2030. The Program includes five-year implementation periods. The first Action Plan is designed for the period 2025-2030, subsequent Plans will be developed in accordance with the goals and objectives of the program for the subsequent periods from 2030 to 2040. An assessment of the progress achieved by 2030 will determine the goals for 2035 and 2040 for subsequent planning and adjustments.
